Stabilise first
Isolation is usually the first move. For water: shut off at the main. For gas: shut off at the meter, ventilate, do not switch anything electrical. Gregg will talk you through it on the phone.

What do I do about a gas leak right now?+
If you can smell gas strongly or hear a hiss: get everyone out, shut off at the meter if you can do it safely, do not switch any electrical device on or off, and call 000. Then call 0498 447 264. If the smell is faint, ventilate the area, shut off at the meter, and call.
How do I turn off the water in a burst pipe?+
The mains stop tap is usually at the front of the property near the meter, or inside a garage. Turn it clockwise to shut. If the pipe is above the meter, that will stop it. Take a photo of the burst if you can before you clean up; it helps with insurance.
Is a blocked toilet an emergency?+
If it is your only toilet, yes. If you have another toilet in the house, it is usually next-day, and Gregg will book it in.
