Gas fitting across the Adelaide Hills
Licensed gas fitting: gas lines, leak detection, cooktop and appliance install.
Gas fitting is the reputation. Gregg has done gas work for 17 years across the UK and Australia, and it is the main reason a lot of Adelaide Hills homeowners have his number. New gas lines for a kitchen cooktop or an outdoor barbecue drop, gas leak detection when something is not right, and gas appliance installation with a proper compliance certificate at the end.
Gas fitting is licensed work. A lot of people do not realise that plumbers and gas fitters are separately licensed, and that the compliance certificate is what protects the homeowner if anything ever gets checked. Gregg does the paperwork properly. Every gas job leaves with a certificate.
What this covers

How Gregg works
- 1
Site visit and quote
Gregg comes out, looks at the run, checks meter capacity, and quotes properly. If a job is bigger than it first looks (some jobs are, some are not), you find out at the quote stage, not halfway through.
- 2
Book the work
You get a firm start date. Gregg turns up on time. If something on his end changes, you get a phone call before the day, not after.
- 3
The gas work
Copper or steel to spec, proper support, protected where it needs protecting, and pressure tested. No shortcuts on the joins.
- 4
Compliance certificate
Every gas job leaves with a signed gas compliance certificate. That is what your insurance and any future buyer will ask for if anything ever comes up.

Why Gregg
17 years of gas fitting. UK training on Vaillant and Ideal kit before Australia; that background shows on complex installs. $5 million public liability. Solo operator, so the person quoting is the person doing the work.
Common questions
Do I get a gas compliance certificate?+
Yes. Every gas job leaves with a signed compliance certificate. It is the document your insurer and any future buyer will want to see.
Can you run a new gas line for a barbecue?+
Yes. Outdoor BBQ drops with an isolating valve are a common job. The run needs to be sized correctly and tested; it is not a hose fitting job.
Is a gas leak an emergency?+
Yes. If you smell gas: turn off the meter, ventilate the area, do not operate anything electrical, and call 0498 447 264. If you can hear a hiss or a strong smell will not clear, call 000 first.
How much for a new gas cooktop install?+
It depends on whether there is already a gas point in the kitchen. Straight swap into an existing line is the cheapest option. A new gas line run from the meter is more, and needs to be quoted after a site look.
