How much does a hot water replacement cost in Adelaide?+
A like-for-like gas storage swap is usually the cheapest option. Continuous flow gas is a step up. Heat pump is the biggest upfront gap but the running cost drops hard. Solar is expensive to install but very cheap to run. Gregg quotes properly after a site look.
Should I repair or replace my hot water unit?+
If the tank is under 8 years and the fault is an element, a thermocouple or a valve, repair almost always makes sense. If the tank is over 12 years and the tank itself is leaking, replacement is the honest answer. Gregg will tell you which one it is.
How long should a hot water unit last?+
Gas storage 10 to 15 years, electric storage 10 to 15 years, heat pump 12 to 18 years, continuous flow gas 15 to 20 years. Hard water areas like Callington drop those numbers by 3 to 5 years. Sacrificial anode replacement every 5 years extends the tank life.
Can you install a heat pump hot water system?+
